📍 Planning, Policy and a Changing Landscape - Insights from Michelmores Planning Primer It was a pleasure to attend the latest Planning Primer seminar hosted by Michelmores yesterday - an excellent afternoon of insight, thanks to such a strong speaker line-up. → Eleanor Deeley (Deeley Group) spoke candidly about the real-world barriers SME housebuilders face in delivering new homes. → James Bradshaw (Richborough) unpacked how recent changes to the NPPF and PPG are playing out on the ground. → Helen Hutton and Julie Sharpe (Michelmores) brought welcome clarity on the legal implications of upcoming planning reforms and Natural Capital obligations - they also expertly hosted the event and led a very engaging Q&A session to close. The mix of housebuilder, promoter, and legal perspectives was especially useful - particularly for those of us promoting land through an increasingly complex policy landscape.
